WOMEN’S NIGHT OUT is Thursday, March 24, 2011, 4-8 p.m.


Workout, pamper yourself, and shop until you drop! Women’s Night Out is held annually at the University of Michigan-Flint Recreation Center. This is an open house for women to experience different fitness classes that are offered throughout the year. Admission is free! Women ages 16 and older from Flint and surrounding communities are invited to attend.


Classes offered include: African Dance, Aqua Fitness, Belly Dance, Bootcamp, BOSU/Fit Ball, Hip Hop, Lower Body Blast, Pilates, Straight Up Step, Yoga, and Zumba.™


New: This year we’re featuring keynote speaker, Erin Ferme who lost over 400 pounds. Erin will share her personal journey of weight loss in a presentation entitled “The Do Over.”


Free child care will be provided for children ages 2 – 12.


A repeat this year on our stage is University Dining Services chef demonstrations for healthy menu options as well as Stacey Kimbrell presenting “Hidden Food Toxins” as she encourages those interested in Holistic Health, Wellness and Chemical Awareness.


Our marketplace features opportunities for attendees to shop, get holistic health information, and learn more about vital community services.


A Fitness Café will be open throughout the evening for food purchases.


Hourly door prizes will be given throughout the evening including a 6-month UM-Flint Recreation Center membership as well as items generously donated by the 50+ marketplace vendors.
