Each moment can be what the “Course in Miracles” calls, “A Holy Encounter.” I take this to mean that each and every moment is Divine and are there for our highest good, our highest growth. In other words, each moment is the next step in our divine growth.
Now, each moment may not look like it is there only as a gift for you, and you alone. Yet, you have the Divine opportunity to learn from every encounter… and you learn most from your mistakes. That’s what tests are for. You get the realization of what you don’t know and where you need to do more work.
I think of this world as just one big school where we have the opportunity to learn from every holy moment, every holy encounter, every success, and every mistake. And, just like your school experience, life is what you put into it. You have to keep growing, and what you learn determines your path, your experience of life. As Albert Einstein said, “The world we have created is a product of our thinking. It cannot be changed without changing our thinking.”
So, if you are in class, and don’t get interested and participate, you don’t have the mindset to succeed at it, and your results, your grade will demonstrate that. You’ve learned by now that attending class, listening, observing, reading and doing the homework brings you the experience of the pleasure of your grade, and you’ve usually had fun doing it!
And, if you had a good teacher, they taught you how to actually study, and sometimes when to study. You already have the tools for an amazing life, you just may not know how to use them to have the life of your dreams.
For instance, what if you started your day saying to yourself, as I do, “Good morning Miche! I like myself and I love my work!” I have been asked why do I “like myself” instead of “love myself”? We all deep down do love ourself, yet, do you actually like yourself? This awakening starts your day with positive energy, and an affirmation that grows deep inside of you, coloring your world with that energy that lasts all day long and beyond…
As indicated in most metaphysical theory, most religions, and even science, as Albert Einstein notes, “The world you experience is a direct result of your thoughts.” Just think of that… when you are in control of your thoughts, you are in control of your life as you create it. Why not start the day happily?
You know that true positive thoughts and energy attracts positivity into your life, so why not practice having positive thoughts? Practice being happy? being loving?
You may already have a practice. Is it working for you? Have you become more mindful of your thoughts, emotions and behavior? Getting what you want in life? If not, why not refine your practice? After all, you are not the same person you were ten years ago, five years ago, or even one year ago. (At least, hopefully not!) Observe your thoughts – are they the same energy as what you want, or what you’re getting? Hint: energy of thoughts=energy of what you’re getting.
Studies show that meditation is an indicator of having a happy life. Is your meditation growing as you are? It may be worthwhile to take a look at how you are meditating; is the time of day working for you? The style? Environment? Are you able to connect with your inner self, your self-love, the Divine? Catch your thoughts and reprogram them to what you want.
Learn how to be mindful of your thoughts, moment by moment. Be aware of your emotions. Remember, thoughts lead to emotions, emotions to behavior. Behavior leads to reactions. And, all of it, everything is energy. Be mindful of your energy in the world because you are your creator with it.
As you connect with your inner self, your higher self, and create with intention and happiness, your life will change and expand in ways you’ve never imagined. Just remember – your thoughts, your world. So start using your skills and change your life.
Love and light,
