Shwedel Dental will host Dentistry From The Heart

Providing first 130+ people with free dental care Saturday, September 8th, 2018

Taylor, MI – July, 2018 –Dr. Steven Shwedel and Dr. Caroline Okonkowski will once again host a free dental care event through Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) supporting Wayne County residents by providing first 130+ adult patients free dental services.

The team of dental professionals at Shwedel Dental will provide patients with a free filling, extraction or cleaning. There will also be several dentists, oral surgeons, hygienists, dental assistants and other dental professionals donating their time and resources, in order to provide free dental care to as many adults in need as possible. This DFTH event will donate thousands of dollars in free dental care and provide much-needed relief to people in need in the community.

The media is invited to join the teams of volunteers, patients, and of course Drs. Shwedel and Okonkowski on Saturday, September 8th to spread free smiles across the Downriver area through Dentistry From The Heart located at 25650 Goddard Road, Taylor, MI 48180. This event is for adults 18 and up. Patients are asked to arrive early as the event is first to come, first serve. Event registration will begin at 7:45 a.m. and patients will be seen through 5:00 p.m. that day. Patients are also encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and bring chairs, water, snacks, etc. as they will be outside waiting to be seen.

This is the tenth annual event for Shwedel Dental with Dr. Steve Shwedel, Dr. Caroline Okonkowski and their team of volunteers. Previous events have brought relief to over 1050 people while donating over $295,000 in free dental care to the Taylor community and like hundreds of other Dentistry From The Heart members, it will not be their last annual event. This sort of outreach comes complete with improved smiles, relief from suffering and a warm sense of gratitude that pervades these events. The services provided by Dentistry From The Heart not only help a patient’s teeth and overall health, it gives them a renewed reason to smile.
