When in Doubt Ask Someone Who Knows

Learning anything is very exciting but it can also be daunting if you are unfamiliar with your choice of study. If perchance you do experience some befuddlement, that is okay and is quite normal to do so. Be patient with yourself. You are exploring new territory so there are bound to be some bumps on the road to your success. Give yourself the chance to make mistakes and realize by making those very mistakes that you allow yourself the opportunity to grow and even gain new insights that will help you succeed with your goals.

It’s important to realize that by making those so-called boo-boos, that you are actually in the process of learning the very thing you set out to do. By experiencing first- hand what doesn’t work, you then will find new and sometimes even innovative ways that will work. So, when you find yourself being self-critical and feeling down, remember you are not alone — everyone was a novice before they become an expert.

It was Thomas Edison who said, “I have not failed 10,000 times. I have successfully found 10,000 ways that will not work.”

Sometimes even with all the above positive thinking and trying new avenues, you feel that you are still not making any progress and feel you’re stuck. Realize that’s okay too, and it’s okay to employ other methodologies and resources that will help you.

So when frustration hits, consider this — when in doubt ask someone who knows. There are others who have already walked your path and have the answers you’re looking for.

There is a wonderful world of resources available to you — so many choices to choose from to help you get back on track with your creative goals. Above all, don’t give up and know you can do this!

Happy creating! Namaste, Abby
