Psychic Medium Rachel Rains featured at the Spring Enlightened Soul Expo

Well-known Detroit-area psychic medium, Rev. Rachel Rains, will make a rare local appearance at the 7th Annual Spring Enlightened Soul Expo in Ann Arbor this month. She’ll be offering a Gallery Reading to deliver messages from departed loved ones in front of a live audience on Saturday, March 23, from 3:00-4:00 pm, as well as doing readings all weekend in her booth in the Commons vendor area.

At a Gallery Reading, the medium gives messages from Spirit to the audience. These could include messages from departed loved ones, spirit guides, angels, etc. Late admittance is prohibited for the Gallery Readings at the Expo because it interferes with the reader’s awareness of the spirits in the room. Not everyone in the audience will receive a message, but all can benefit from the messages received.

Rachel became famous for her mediumship when she was a regular radio guest with Jay Towers on WDRQ and on Jim Harper’s Magic Morning Show (WMGC), where she spent more than six years contacting the other side for avid listeners. She has made many other appearances on radio and television, including, “Blaine & Lisa with Allison” on 96.3 WDVD, WNIC, Psychic On Air on CBS Radio, Fox 2 TV News, and Channel 4 WDIV-TV.

After being contacted by her deceased father in 1983, Rachel began to explore “contact with the other side” and realized her gifts. She has been a practicing psychic medium for over 30 years and is an ordained Spiritualist minister. Rachel established the Center for Self-Healing in Troy, Michigan, in 1987, with the goal of presenting a positive view of the psychic/metaphysical community and to “Help others have the opportunity to connect and communicate with the highest possible spiritual source.”

Besides the appearance by Rachel Rains, several other exceptional mediums will be doing live audience Gallery Readings during Expo weekend: Lisa Bousson will be doing Evidential Mediumship on Saturday, 1:30–2:30pm and on Sunday, 1:00–2:00pm; and Rev. Elizabeth Brown will be delivering, “Flower Messages” on Sunday, 4:00–5:00pm. Additional free presentations are listed on the Expo website.

The Expo is open from 10am-6 pm on Saturday, March 23, and from 11am-to 6 pm on Sunday, March 24. It is the largest indoor event of its kind in Michigan, with more than 150 holistic booths from around the Midwest. Presentations are free with Expo admission. Costs for readings and other vendor services vary.

Admission is $11 daily; $14 weekend pass, free parking and presentations. Discounts for children and teens. Location: Skyline High School, 2552 N. Maple Rd., Ann Arbor. For advance discounted tickets and more information, visit:
