Kundalini Yoga Class ~ The Yoga of Awarness led by Lisa Lorius
March 27, 2022 @ 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM
Kundalini is often referred to as the yoga of awareness. This practice is primarily focused on breathwork and meditation. “Kundalini” refers to energy that lies within us that opens us to our full potential. This energy can lie dormant in the physical body. The practice of Kundalini “awakens” this energy and makes it available to us. The physical poses in the practices (kriyas) are used to move energy and create a flexible, supple spine (which is considered the key to healthy longevity). Certain kriyas do include a physical practice that can be very challenging and strength building. Participants are encouraged to engage in the breathwork if the physical practice is not accessible or easeful.
Come to practice prepared for some physical movement. Yoga pants not required (but welcomed) – sweats and a t-shirt will work! You do not need to have any prior experience with Kundalini or with yoga to participate. Kundalini is focused on breathwork and meditation so there is a lot of flexibility in how you perform the physical practice. There will be lots of time for questions and discussion. Can’t wait to see you there!
