Kundalini Yoga Class ~ The Yoga of Awarness Lisa Lorius

Kundalini is often referred to as the yoga of awareness. This practice is primarily focused on breathwork and meditation. “Kundalini” refers to energy that lies within us that opens us to our full potential. This energy can lie dormant in the physical body. The practice of Kundalini “awakens” this energy and makes it available to us. The physical poses in the practices (kriyas) are used to move energy and create a flexible, supple spine (which is considered the key to healthy longevity). Certain kriyas do include a physical practice that can be very challenging and strength building. Participants are encouraged to engage in the breathwork if the physical practice is not accessible or easeful.
Come to practice prepared for some physical movement. Yoga pants not required (but welcomed) – sweats and a t-shirt will work! You do not need to have any prior experience with Kundalini or with yoga to participate. Kundalini is focused on breathwork and meditation so there is a lot of flexibility in how you perform the physical practice. There will be lots of time for questions and discussion. Lisa Lorius is a 500 RYT trained in Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Hatha yoga. She is also a Reiki master and shamanic practitioner. As a working mother of three children, Lisa started practicing yoga for stress relief. She has found the practice to be all that and life changing as well. Her goal is to spend as much time as possible sharing these beautiful practices with others.
