**About the event, a message from the host Chris Gilbert**
Over the past several decades Qigong has become more well known in West. Similar in some respects to Yoga and Tai Chi, it consists of gentle movements and meditation methods to balance and activate the vital life force, Qi, of our body and mind, assisting with health and well-being. At the deeper level, in the form of Qigong called Neigong, it can lead us to reconnecting and acting through our Higher Level Self. For the past 11 years I have been practicing Gift of the Tao and Stillness-Movement Neigong as developed by Michael Lomax, who in turn learned from the late Wang Juemin, a Qigong Master who practiced at the Baoding Qigong Hospital in China.
In class I go over the difference between using mental force versus direct engagement with the Qi, then lead people through the best Qigong movements for activating Qi, and lead into sitting and standing meditations that connect one to Earth and Heaven Qi, and from there to their Higher Level Self.
