Secrets of Freedom

There is an immense power that permeates all existence. It is the most malleable, free-flowing energy in the universe. This energy, known as the force of life, sweeps through eternity in its endless quest to spiritualize all that is. While the life force is the most liquid and free-flowing of all energies, its unending goal is to penetrate the most rigid, unmoving, and resisting of all energies, matter.

These two energies represent the absolute opposite extremes, and they are attracted to one another for this reason. You could say they need each other. Their relationship is governed by the spiritual law of mutuality; only two opposing forces can create anything. Manifest creation occurs when the tension between two opposite forces is released, and they come together in oneness.

The awesome power of the life force must express itself, and in order to do so, it needs the resisting nature of matter to impose limits on its power. The limited nature of matter brings discipline and organization to the overwhelming creative power of the life energy. Together, the force of life and matter are responsible for evolution.

Matter challenges life to overcome the limits that it continually imposes. Every time the force of life overcomes an obstacle, the energy of matter throws another in its path. This is healthy; we see it in our own lives. When we are challenged by obstacles, we have a choice: we can either give up or use our immense God-given power to intellectually face and overcome the resistance.

If we choose to face the challenges, we usually come out of it victorious, stronger, and confident that we can face and defeat our fears whenever the need arises. We find ourselves ready to take on bigger challenges, and a sense of awe at our own ability wells up within us. This, my friend, is the feeling of real personal fulfillment that makes life worth living.

Evolution is an inward movement; therefore, it is not necessarily measured by leaps and bounds. Instead, it is measured by little, meaningful forward movements. Sometimes, these movements are almost imperceptible, but they are there, and eventually, they make the distance.

We once measured time by hours and minutes, then seconds, then tenths of seconds, and now we measure and perceive time in the hundredths of a second. Indeed, we see Olympic events won by a mere hundredths of a second. A hundred years ago, this wasn’t the case – we have evolved!

The illusion of time is the result of matter’s imposition on life. Self-awareness is the remedy for time; as we evolve and become more and more aware of our own innermost power, the core of our immortal soul, we free ourselves little by little, step by step, from the imprisoning limits of time.

We become more and more aware of the eternal now, and our ability to comprehend it immensely grows until one day, we find ourselves in a place of divine consciousness where there is no past, present, or future, and we can plainly see that everything, every possible creation, exists now and is subject to our desire.

This sounds staggering, and it is unless you are ready for it, unless you have evolved to the place where you can truly appreciate its awesome majesty. This is the grand goal of life to prepare each and every soul for the unbelievable power of total consciousness that this state demands.

Power demands maturity, and spiritual development is about the maturing soul. Freedom and responsibility are inseparable; you cannot have one without the other.

Love is also freedom, and freedom is expression. Where there is no freedom, there is neither love nor expression. The force of life is love because it seeks to penetrate inert matter and free it from its expressionless existence.

We have evolved to a point here on earth where love, freedom, and expression must be emphasized and developed to another higher level if humankind is to further evolve and continue its spiritual journey.

We all have the responsibility as individuals to love and honor our own uniqueness. Self-love fosters a love of reverence for all. Self-love frees the soul of fears that prevent self-expression. Loving oneself always leads to the freedom of diverse self-expression.

The person who shares their inner beauty through personal expression accepts others who do the same. The acceptance of one’s own individuality leads to the acceptance of another’s individuality. Where there is free-flowing self-expression, hatred and jealousy cannot exist.

How many of us have appreciated the writings of others and then been inspired to go out and share our own inspirations with others? My friends, give yourself permission to express your beauty, never judge what comes out of you, let it evolve.

Be patient with yourself, and the love that comes from this attitude will free you from the inner confusion that prevents clear self-expression. This will lead you inward to the infinite creative potential of your own divine nucleus, where you will discover and truly know the eternal noun.

It is here at the center of God’s world, a place where time and distance do not exist, that you will experience the secrets of God’s most precious gift – total freedom.
