The Sacred Act of Seeking Guidance

In our fast-paced world, we often forget one of humanity’s most ancient and powerful practices: the conscious seeking of divine guidance through prayer. Yet this simple act connects us to the most profound source of wisdom available – the still, small voice within.
When we pray for guidance, we’re not reaching out to some distant deity, but turning inward to access our higher self – that aspect of our consciousness that exists beyond the chatter of the everyday mind. This is our superconscious mind, the gateway through which the Divine Spark within us all can illuminate our path.
This inner guidance speaks to us in the silence between thoughts, in moments of deep stillness when we’ve quieted the mental noise that usually dominates our awareness. It’s the sudden knowing that arises when we’re truly centered, the intuitive flash that shows us the next right step, the gentle nudging toward choices that serve our highest good.
The wisdom we seek through prayer already exists within us, waiting to be unveiled. When we ask for our “veils to be removed,” we’re requesting help in recognizing the voice of our own higher nature.
Our superconscious mind operates beyond the limitations of our rational mind, drawing from a wellspring of divine intelligence that knows our true purpose and highest potential. As we learn to trust and follow this inner guidance, we align ourselves with the very source of creation flowing through us.
                                                   Prayer for Divine Guidance
Great Spirit of All Life,
Awaken within me the light that has always been,
Remove the veils that keep me from knowing my true nature,
And help me recognize the divine spark in every being.
May my heart open to wisdom beyond my understanding,
May my mind be freed from limiting beliefs,
May my soul remember its connection to all that is.
As I awaken to greater truth,
Let me be a blessing to others still seeking,
Let my presence radiate the peace I discover,
And let my awakening serve the awakening of all.
Guide me gently through the changes that come,
Grant me courage to release what no longer serves,
And fill me with trust in the divine unfolding
Of consciousness in myself and throughout the world.
May all beings be awakened,
May all beings be free,
May all beings live in the light of their highest nature.
So be it, and so it is.
