Karma, Dharma, and the Dance of the Soul
by Patricia Tobin
Every choice, every breath, every whisper of thought sends a ripple into the universe. This is karma—the sacred weaving of cause and effect. In Sanskrit, it simply means “action,” yet within that word rests a vast truth: nothing is lost, and all is carried forward.
We enter this life carrying threads from the past—lessons unfinished, blessings earned. Yet karma is not a chain. Through free will, we are always weaving anew, choosing how the tapestry of our soul will unfold. The universe longs for balance, and karma is its gentle hand, guiding us back toward harmony and light.
We are not merely human. We are spirit wrapped in form, walking the path of remembering. Each time we heal the mind, soothe the heart, or awaken the body, we release what no longer serves and lift ourselves closer to truth. This journey—our ascension—is both deeply personal and profoundly collective. In rising, we help the world rise too.
Alongside karma lives dharma—your soul’s calling, the mission only you can fulfill. To live your dharma is to act in love, and love itself transcends karma. When uncertain, turn inward and ask: “What is my purpose? What song is my soul here to sing?” The answer will come in stillness, like a soft echo of the divine.
Karma is not punishment, but an invitation. It is the mirror that shows us where to grow, the soil from which compassion and forgiveness bloom. With each act of love, we create ripples of peace—for ourselves, for humanity, for generations yet unborn.
When we walk in dharma, karma becomes a blessing. And together, in love, we restore balance to the great unfolding.
