Call for Volunteers: The Blue Water Folk Society is gearing up for its main event of the year – Thumbfest 2014, on Saturday, August 30, from 10am – 10pm throughout downtown Lexington, Michigan. This year is our lucky 13th year, and it’s going to be more amazing than ever! New and returning performers feature music across the spectrum — roots, folk, New Orleans brass, Celtic, Americana, and bluegrass. There are multiple stages, workshops and jam sites – and room for new volunteers!

If you’re looking for a fun way to be involved in your community, and listen to some great music while you’re doing it, Thumbfest 2014 is a fantastic event to be a part of – whether it’s posting flyers around town, working at the CD table, or helping people find the stage they’re looking for — there are volunteer roles of every kind. Commit as much or as little time as you like, and be a part of the Thumb’s most amazing acoustic music festival! Contact Ruth Habalewsky, Volunteer Coordinator at rhabalewsky@comcast.net, or Jenna Reed, Publicity Coordinator at jenna.reed.39@icloud.com.
