One in six U.S. children now has a developmental disability such as autism, learning disorders or attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), according to new research from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That number appears to be on the rise. In 1997-1999, about 12.8 percent of kids were diagnosed with a developmental disability. That number rose to 15 percent in 2006-2008 — or an additional 1.8 million U.S. children.

Many individuals diagnosed with these disorders struggle to find help that doesn’t involve prescription drugs. Having ADHD himself, Dr. Andrew Millage, Millage Family Chiropractic, has dedicated his career and life to learning the proper way to focus and use his brain, thus capitalizing on the strengths of the disorder, not the weaknesses. He treats ADD/ADHD and autism through brain based therapies and natural apothecary. Dr. Millage has turned the negative effects of ADHD into his benefit, and he can teach you too.

The mind and body become energetic from hyperactivity, when this neurological process is processing appropriately; being energetic becomes a positive mirror trait of hyperactivity. The ADHD brain is now laser-focused and has the energy to perform a task all day long. What are typically seen as negative traits are thus turned into extremely positive traits by learning how to harness and focus this energy in the brain.

Dr. Millage graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic. He is certified in ADD/ADHD care through the University of Harvard, Dr. Edward Hallowell’s program. He’s been in practice for ten years. The first five years contracted with the National Hockey League and for the past five years in family practice with ADD/ADHD and Autism as his main specialties along with sports chiropractic and non-surgical spinal decompression for low back problems.

  1. Just wanted to let you know I am a patient of Dr. Millage, I recently went to the BrainLife Center in Clarkston for a brain wave assessment, very interesting but way over my budget so I went to Dr. Millage with my info from the center, he has been doing “his magic” on me for about the last 2 weeks, let me tell you I have had emotional trauma all my life and physical trauma to the head. After just 4 adjustment my vision is better, I feel happier, less anxiety, sleep better, don’t have the head fog, it is Really Amazing!!! You should do a follow up on him, he is the best Doctor I have been to and I have been going since I was 15 1985.
