In 1621, a year after they invaded a foreign land, a band of refugees we know as Pilgrims celebrated their harvest festival. They were lucky to be alive as within the first months after landing, 45 of 102 passengers died. The native people whose land they had invaded brought food and celebrated with them.
Fast forward to 2024. We are all on a journey and can be helped by making gratitude a regular habit on this journey. It raises our personal as well as our collective vibration. It is also good for our health to have a positive mindset.
We can give thanks for our past, our present, and our future. We can give thanks to people in our past who have helped or inspired us or are good friends. We can express our thanks to the people who are currently in our lives. Let’s not forget the past and present pets in our lives. We can be thankful that we have food and shelter and can help those in need, including those who are present-day Pilgrims. If someone important to us has died, we can be thankful that they were in our life. If we have a health problem, we can be thankful we are alive and that we have the ability to find solutions.
Regarding the future: We can give thanks so that we can see blessings as already received and that we can keep these images in our minds. We can also focus on positive images of our country and our planet.
We can be thankful for a publication like BodyMindSpiritGuide, which is helping us on our journey and helping us to learn and grow. I am grateful for two things: (1) That I can write this and (2) that you took the time to read it.
Thank you,
Ed
