MOTHER & EARTH BABY BOUTIQUE OPENS BRICK AND MORTAR STORE ½ MILE EAST OF LANSING MALL – AUGUST 21, 2012

LANSING, MI – An eco-friendly baby boutique is opening its doors in Delta Township.  Mother & Earth Baby Boutique offers safe, natural products for families, while supporting the American economy with only products all made in the USA.  The retail store opens August 21, 2012 at 4601 W. Saginaw, Suite N.

This boutique has successfully operated as www.MotherAndEarth.com since July 2011, selling products online and via mom-to-mom sales. The demand for the eco-friendly products has been so overwhelming that owners and sisters-in-laws Lynn and Tawny Ross have decided to expand their growing online business and provide additional resources for the local community. These two busy moms, who between them have 4 children under the age of 10, felt there was a lack of maternity and prenatal resources in West Lansing. “We saw a niche that just wasn’t being filled with adequate products and services,” noted Lynn Ross, “and we knew could fill that void in a way that would have less environmental impact and be safer for children and families.” In addition to offering quality mother and baby products, the new retail shop will provide classroom space where they can offer a variety of low-to no-cost classes and activities. Lansing-area parents will be able to take advantage of weekly story times, mom-and-tot yoga, cloth diapering 101 and many other pre- and post-natal classes.  While moms (and dads) are shopping or in class, kids can keep busy in the playroom.

Lynn and Tawny Ross believe they sell some of the safest American-made baby products. New moms can rent or purchase breast pumps and cloth diapers. The skincare and cleaning products are zero-toxins and made from plant-derived ingredients, safe for babies, pets, and the planet.  Mother & Earth also carries toys, bedding, breastfeeding supplies, and many other products for moms and babies.

The baby boutique plans on continuing to grow and looks forward to helping families find American-made and eco-friendly alternatives. Mother & Earth can still be found online at www.MotherAndEarth.com  and will continue to offer free delivery to busy local families.
