Dr. Kristine Butto-Brownlee, DVM, CVA and Dr. Lucretia Greear, DVM, CVA, recently opened Downriver’s first integrative veterinary hospital in Flat Rock. Cahill Veterinary Hospital is a state-of-the-art veterinary hospital that provides both conventional veterinary treatment as well as alternative therapies. They provide the best comprehensive care available to dogs, cats, and exotic animals. Conventional services include wellness care, emergency care, dental care, surgeries, orthopedics, intensive care, complete diagnostic services, digital X-rays, and ultrasound. Alternative services include traditional Chinese veterinary medicine evaluations, acupuncture, Chinese herbal therapies, in-house stem cell treatment, and nutritional therapies. Comprehensive cancer treatment is also available.

“The location of Cahill Veterinary Hospital is peaceful and off the beaten path. It exemplifies the philosophy of medicine that is practiced, which is an integration of Western and Eastern philosophies to provide care that is tailored to each animal’s needs that also considers the owner’s needs and lifestyle. An individualized patient care plan is emphasized, rather than standard textbook care that has been the cornerstone of Western medicine for far too long,” said Dr. Butto-Brownlee.

Cahill Veterinary Hospital also welcomes rescue groups, service dogs, leader dogs, and police K9 units. They do their best to work with patients to provide the best possible care at affordable prices and will customize treatment plans to meet the animal’s needs and the owner’s budget.

“Being able to work in an environment where the emphasis is on the patient rather than the bottom line is a breath of fresh air,” says Dr. Greear. “We are able to focus on the animal as a whole and provide alternative treatment options should conventional therapies fail to be an option. We also find that a combination of conventional and alternative therapies often works best for chronic illnesses and cancer patients. We love being able to help animals that have been unable to find relief through other standard treatments.”

Dr. Butto-Brownlee has been serving the Downriver area since 1995. Dr. Butto-Brownlee and Dr. Greear devote themselves to your pet’s well-being by continually educating themselves on the newest and most advanced medical procedures available to ensure your pet receives the best care possible. They both hold doctors of veterinary medicine and are certified veterinary acupuncturists. They believe preventative medicine and routine checkups are the best way to prevent avoidable emergencies and the best way to ensure custom care can be provided if a critical situation arises.

Cahill Veterinary Hospital is a full-service, integrative veterinary hospital. They provide state-of-the art care to patients and appreciate the opportunity to be your other family doctor. They are located at 27560 Cahill Road in Flat Rock.
