You are so much more than you have been told. You are a magnificent manifesting powerful God-Love-Nature in motion. You are the mountains, oceans, and stars moving as your hands and voice.
Savannah, our horse at Mother Bear Sanctuary, can hit a sprint of 40mph in two seconds. She processes a power that could move a car. Yet, like many domesticated animals, her true power and agility are regulated to a small pasture. She is fed well and treated kindly. However, it breaks my heart that I cannot provide her with a wild, open pasture.
You are living in a small pasture. Your capacity to create and influence is unlimited as a multi-dimensional manifesting portal (aka Soul). As Savannah is irritated with Gracie and Dolly’s cow stealing her grain, you fight with those closest to you while ignoring the unlimited possibilities available. You have become a master of distracting yourself with worry, media, and small-minded thinking.
Well-fed, treated kindly, but limited. And it breaks my heart—I cannot give her the wild, open freedom she was born for.
And in that, I see you.
I see us.
Like Savannah, you’ve been domesticated to believe you’re only meant for a small, safe patch of life. You’re powerful beyond measure, yet you spend your energy fighting over crumbs—grain stolen by someone else—because you’ve forgotten the infinite field that awaits.
You are a multi-dimensional soul, a divine portal of potential.
And yet, your world has shrunk to routines, fears, media cycles, and old stories that keep you safe… but small.
When the sages and mystics said, “You will do greater things than me,” they weren’t speaking in metaphor. They were whispering your birthright.
But here’s the thing about forgetting: When we forget our power, we settle. When we forget our beauty, we hide. When we forget our voice, we fall silent in rooms that need our truth.
Savannah doesn’t run when we open the gate. She grazes near the barn, where it feels familiar. She’s 25 now—and has forgotten her wild.
Elephants trained in captivity wear only thin ropes as adults. Why? Because when they were young, they were shackled. They pulled. They cried. They failed. And eventually… they stopped trying.
Now, they could break free with a single tug. But they don’t.
Like them, many of us live bound—not by force, but by belief.
There’s a term: breaking the buck. It’s used in horse training. Tragically, it’s also used in sex trafficking. It means the moment the spirit breaks.
Once broken, there’s no need for fences or chains—the imprisonment lives in the mind.
I once had a trauma-informed, body-based therapist look into my eyes and say: “You have programmed helplessness.” And they were right. I had stopped believing I deserved more in love.
I couldn’t say “no.”
I didn’t ask for “better.”
But I healed, grieved, reclaimed, asked deeper questions, and became more discerning and sovereign.
And now, having worked with hundreds of others on their healing journeys, I can say:
Most female-born beings do not believe they’re allowed to ask for more.
And most male-born beings do not believe they’re allowed to be soft.
(And yes, I honor all gender expressions. But the first seven years of life—the years that shape us—often come with deep-rooted programming based on the gender we were perceived to be.)
So I ask you gently, fiercely:
Where have you stopped asking?
Where have you forgotten to dream?
Where have you accepted a pasture when the wild waits?
Your warning lights are trying to help you.
Depression. Despair. Numbness.
These aren’t failures. They’re messages—not signs to medicate away or run from—but sacred signals asking for your attention.
Instead of “Why is this happening to me?”
Ask: “What is this here to awaken in me?”
Journal your dreams. Follow the whispers. Sit still long enough to hear the answers rise from within.
Let it be easier than you’ve been taught.
Start with baby steps:
5 minutes of quiet.
10 minutes of doodling.
A walk.
A dance break.
A song sung to the sky or your cows (if you have some!).
Make yourself a Nourishment List—a simple, sacred menu of actions you can take when you’re in the waves. Reach for that instead of drowning in old emotions.
Because, beloved:
You are not the pain. You are the healing.
You are not the chain. You are the force that breaks it.
You are not the prayer whispered in fear.
You are the prayer embodied.
So don’t just pray.
Become the prayer.
Live it. Dance it. Speak it. Let the sacred move through your hands, your tears, your joy, your hunger.
The gate is open.
Will you run?
