I cannot believe it has been 4 years since our community embraced the idea that we needed to do more to help those less fortunate in our community. Your efforts and support didn’t end with a hand-out – instead, it led to a hand-up. We came together as donors, volunteers, and advocates to help the whole community by
– promoting childhood literacy through our Recycled Reader program,
– feeding the needy through our Raising Rochester community garden program, and
– helping needy kids through our Back to School Bonanza program.
WE THANK YOU!
We have accomplished so much together. In just a few short years KidzKare has
Provided health screenings and follow-up for 2,200 children entering school,
Distributed over $310,000 in donated goods and services to school-aged children,
Built 120 raised garden beds at 22 community gardens,
Provided hands-on garden learning to 1,200 area students,
Provided 2,800lbs of fresh produce to needy families, and
Designed programs to improve the physical, emotional, social, and educational
well-being of children and youth in the greater Rochester area.
Many of these accomplishments are attributed to the “Power of You!” But we are just getting started. I know that with a generous gift from you and others in our community, we can expand our proven programs and continue to make a transformational change in the lives of thousands of children who are less fortunate! Please join me and consider making a tax deductible gift to KidzKare and feel free to share this email with your family, friends, neighbors, and work associates.
