There’s an elephant living in our house
That nobody wants to face.
He’s takin’ up too much room
and he’s stinkin’ up the place.
But let’s ignore the obvious.
Let’s pretend we’re unaware.
As long as we don’t think about it
The elephant isn’t there.
This little elephant living in our house
Gets bigger every year.
But nobody has to cook
Cuz the elephant feeds on fear.
But let’s ignore the obvious,
Let’s pretend we’re all alone.
As long as we don’t talk about it
The elephant isn’t home.
Don’t blame the elephant living in your house
When everything blows apart.
Why make such a fuss
When the elephant is only us?
But let’s ignore the obvious,
Let’s be quiet as a mouse.
As long as we are in denial
We live in the elephant house.
