THIS MONTH HIGHLIGHTS: January, named after the God Janus

In ancient Roman religion and myth, Janus is the god of beginnings, gates, transitions, time, duality, doorways, passages, frames, and endings.

As the god of transitions and dualities, Janus is portrayed with two faces—one facing the past and one facing the future; he also holds a key in his right hand, symbolizing his protection of doors, gates, thresholds, and other separations or openings between spatial boundaries.

The temple of Janus was closed during times of peace and open during times of war, where Janus could use his ability to settle or resolve issues.

Wherever we are at war with ourselves, this is where we need to resolve issues to create a beautiful life. For Me, this is the true meaning of New Year’s Resolution: resolving any issues that prevent us from living in peace, love, and joy, physically, mentally, or emotionally.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy new year!
