Clearing the Clutter

At this time of Fall harvest, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the fruits of your labor and make room for more abundance by clearing out anything that may be holding you back. By celebrating your accomplishments and the good things in your life, you are sending out a beautiful vibration of gratitude and abundance. By removing those old ways of thinking, being, and doing, you’re opening yourself to an expanded reality and new possibilities.

The first thing that comes to mind when we think about “clearing out” is removing physical clutter from our living space. But an even more important form of clearing out is in removing those thoughts that aren’t serving your highest and best. Have you ever thought about what words your dearest friends and family members would use to describe the type of person you are? Stop and think about that for a few moments. Would they say you’re kind, loving, respectful, and the type of person who would go out of their way to help others? If this is true, why aren’t you saying this to yourself in your self-talk?

It’s far too easy to succumb to the negative way that the world seems to portray things and then carry that forward with negative thoughts about yourself and your capabilities. But, in the end, what does that get you? It diminishes your self-worth and leaves you focused on less-than-favorable outcomes in life. Don’t forget what you focus on; you get more of! When you can release the clutter from your mind, it leaves you feeling lighter, brighter, and free to celebrate the true you – who comes from and acts from, a place of pure love.

Since your thoughts are your own, nobody can monitor them but you. By deliberately shifting your focus from the outside world to the world within you, you can become aware of the thoughts and beliefs that may hold you back. We know that a child who’s told over and over again that they will never amount to anything has a high probability of holding those limiting beliefs for themself. It’s no different with your own self-talk.

At this time of Fall harvest, why not make a personal decision to clear away the clutter in your own mind that isn’t properly serving you? And, when all of that clutter has been swept away, choose to replace it with positive, self-affirming messages that will propel you forward, focused on all the wonderful things you can achieve.
