DETROIT, MI – In cities around the world, an exciting new event model is quickly gaining popularity. A “morning rave” is a yoga and dance event where, instead of alcohol, guests can have coffee, juice, and cacao.

This type of “conscious clubbing” began in London and New York, but has since popped up in dozens of other cities. Now Detroit has one of its own.

Vibrant Dawn launched in Detroit in August 2016, and now Inner Waymark LLC is bringing it downtown for the first time. From 8-11 am on Saturday, May 13, Vibrant Dawn will take over the Loft at 1420, on the 6th floor of the Julian Madison Building on Washington Blvd.

We’ll start with some guided movement with our resident from DJ Lena (Detroit) spinning deep house. Then we’ll blast into a full-on dance party with GoodSex (Chicago) throwing down a mash-up of trap, house, and funk. Finally we’ll bring everyone together for a closing yoga class.

Bodywork will be available by donation for people who want a relaxing break. The Vibrant Dawn crew will help people get out of their shell and into creative expression. Costumes and festival outfits are encouraged, but dressing comfortably is most important.

The concept behind this event is extremely powerful. It shows people that it’s possible to act weird, have a lot of fun, and still be healthy. It also offers the potential to make new friends, deepen connections, and strengthen community ties.

Advance registration tickets are $15 through 9PM on May 12, and $20 at the door. Tickets are available at http://vibrantdawn4.eventbrite.com.
