Winter is gone and now we are moving into the season of opening ourselves to the joy of no snow, warmer weather, and more sunlight. The leaves on the trees are beginning to turn green, the grass is growing, and the buds of some perennials are beginning to show themselves. Spring is a wonderful season!
Winter is the time we use to plant the seeds of our desires. Like the farmer or the gardener plants seeds in the soil of the ground for growth, we use the soil of our mind to plant our seeds. Through our thoughts, the seeds are planted and they are nurtured by our ability to remain focused on the desired outcome, rather than the existing conditions that may be presenting themselves at that time. Many goals were set at the beginning of the year; those goals were the planted seeds. What tools will you use to remain focused when life happens and various shifts occur? Don’t know? Then perhaps the following suggestions can be of help:
Watch your thoughts.
Keep them aligned with the Holy Spirit through a daily Prayer Practice.
Start your day with an inspirational reading.
Utilize prayer and/or meditation (on your desires) daily.
Engage yourself in Spiritual study.
Surround yourself with like-minded people who are supportive.
This is the inner work that must be done to see your outcomes of renewal in your life. This inner work allows you to spring forth into the new design for your life. This is the regeneration process. I am reminded of a line of scripture in the Book of Philippians that says, “Forgetting those things which are behind, I strive for those things that are before me.”
