We are all Divine

Do you ever feel that you are not enough? Not pretty enough, not smart enough, not rich enough, not lovable enough? Just not good enough? We all feel this way at times.

These feelings often result from our upbringing, comparing ourselves to others, and our perceived experiences. Yet, in our minds, we know we are of God, created in the image of God/Creator/the All/quantum field—whatever you call it. For myself, I will call all of it “God.”

Just like a good parent avoids comparing their children to each other, God doesn’t compare you to anyone else. You are a soul with your own human experience to learn from. And your experience is developed just for you, no one else. You are pretty enough, smart enough, talented enough, and lovable enough to learn and live your life to the fullest.

You also have the ability to share your inner and outer beauty, create ideas, and love yourself and others. You have the honor, opportunity, and ability to see and experience others through the soul’s eyes, seeing them as the divine souls they are—their inner and outer beauty, brains, talent, and ability to love and laugh.

When we somehow don’t experience others as the divine soul they are, it is likely because we are not connected and experiencing ourselves as divine. And I know from experience that it can be difficult to always come from that divine space and avoid projecting our stuff onto others and how we experience them. Most of us have a story of how our initial perception was changed with someone based on new experiences.

We often divide ourselves between our mind, body, and heart/soul. We know in our minds that we and all others have divinity, and the body is just the car we wear in this life. But, we forget, especially when triggered, to keep connected with our heart/soul and respond from a place of compassion and love. This dividedness affects how we experience and talk/treat ourselves, not just others.

What if we make a commitment to practice being connected within and present with our divine self a little more each day? What if we take up the challenge to see ourselves and others as divine? That way, we will be aware when we get triggered, repeat self-sabotaging patterns, and react in fear or defense. We can become more mindful and connected so we can choose to respond in a compassionate, loving way. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

We can be the divine Light that brings more compassion and love to this negatively charged world. We can be the healing we all deserve and desire. Let’s start this very day by being the most compassionate, loving, divine beings we can to help heal ourselves and our world.

Love and Light,
